Padstow to Lanhydrock and back

Leaving Padstow Harbour the traffic free Camel Trail will take you 11 miles to the county town of Bodmin.

After a short ride through the back streets of Bodmin there is another lovely cycle track through the woods to Lanhydrock estate.

Spend a couple of hours strolling in the beautiful gardens  or wander through the magnificent Lanhydrock House. After a refreshing lunch in the cafe cycle back to Padstow.

A one day tour leaving from Padstow and cycling along the Camel trail to Bodmin. A short cycle ride through the back streets of Bodmin  and then through the woods on another cycle trail to Lanhydrock House. A lovely tour starting on the Camel Trail and then along country lanes to Fowey. Next a glorious ride along the Pentewan Trail (traffic free) to Megavissey. followed bya short cycle ride to Heligan Gardens and then on to the  beautiful coastal town of  St Mawes. The penultimate leg takes you back to the surfing town of Newquay via the Cathedral city of Truro and finally along the dramatic coast road to Padstow.

St Mawes to Newquay

A beautiful ride today with gorgeous views of the Carrick roads, a free trip on the King Harry Ferry, maybe a stop at Trelissick Gardens and into the cathedral city of Truro.

Truro is a cathedral city and county town for Cornwall, it is excellent for shopping. From Truro cycling along the back roads which are narrow and quiet, mostly just you and the wildlife,  until you join the back roads of the surfing town of Newquay.

Newquay is a surfers paradise with beautiful beaches and many water sport activities to take part in.

Porthcurno to Constantine (Helford Passage)

Today's ride is partly along the coast and partly inland heading for the Helford Passage.

Just past Penzance you will see St Michael’s Mount. Cross the causeway where a legendary giant once walked or boat hop to the Island where modern life meets layers of history.
